caught this 3kg female off the side at homestead dam benoni in the east rand around spawning season..
i was using a baby carp lippless crank when at first i thought i was stuck on a branch but then my line started moving from one side to the other.
what a feeling it was to see the sheer size once i had lipped her...
she was full of eggs so i took a few pics and released her back to her natural home...

so i was fishing loskop dam for the anglers 4 anglers leg 7 comp and managed to bag this beaut of a PB 3.45kg with a soft vibe lippless crank from savage gear sa...she was swimming around an area where it looked nesty.. so i worked her for like an hour before she took then the battle started for almost 3 minutes before netting her and having my new pb..
